Escape rooms are a lot of fun, but can be intimidating for new players. The first game is always one of the hardest simply because beginners need to pick up on so much so fast to do well. As a gamemaster, I frequently get asked how players can make the most of their first games and escape successfully. I’m lucky enough to have a part time job I really enjoy. Like most of the world, I’ve done my time in retail, and I hated almost all of it. Though great co-workers and the occasional fun customer can liven up any job, the feeling that you’re just putting in boring, tedious hours to scrape out the money you need to survive is draining and unfulfilling.
